A Corps member from Yale University, New Haven, CT
In 1997, Annemarie Hindman was a sophomore at Yale University, majoring in history. She had just come back to Yale from having taken some time off after her freshman year, determined to give Yale another chance. As a part of that plan, she decided to join Jumpstart because she thought it would be different, something that would offer her a real-world, meaningful experience. She completed two years of Jumpstart (sophomore and junior year as well as the summer in between), and it changed her life as she went onto receive her Ph.D. in education and psychology. She is now an assistant professor at Temple University.
